How do I sign up for a 4SW trip or activity?
We would prefer that you complete a trip application in person at our monthly meetings held the first Tuesday of every month. Try to arrive by 7:30 PM to complete the application before the meeting starts. If you can't make the general meeting, our Pacesetter meeting are another option. They typically meet on the Sunday afternoon following the General Meeting.
If you can't make it to any of our meetings or get-togethers, you can download a trip application here on our website. The on-line applications are trip specific: one size does not necessarily fit all. Sign and date the release of liability, 4SW Conduct Policy, initial the cancellation policy for the trip or activity. Contact the trip leader for delivery instructions.
Why do I have to sign the Conduct Policy for every trip or activity?
The 4SW Conduct Policy was implemented to codify many things that should be common sense. We want our members to feel comfortable on our trips and activities. Signing it the 4SW Conduct Policy means that you have read it and agree to abide by it. It is a friendly reminder that we are here to have fun and avoid conflict. It is a promise to respect the law, respect each other and respect ourselves.[/section] [section name="Q:What methods of payment does 4SW accept for its trips and activities?"]We gladly accept cash, personal checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The price is the same regardless of payment form. All payments must be accompanied by a fully completed and signed trip application. Only money orders, cashier's checks or credit cards will be accepted for payment within 10 days of trip departure.
The Pacesetters is a group within Four Seasons West that was established to acclimate and familiarize new members with the many activities within Four Seasons West. Pacesetters is also an excellent opportunity to become better acquainted with other members by helping out on trips and activities.
Pacesetters typically meet the Sunday afternoon following the General Meeting. It's a great way for those that can't make it to the General Meeting to stay in touch with what's going on. Trip leaders often attend to provide more detailed information about their activity.
I'm having a great time. How can I get more involved in the planning phase?
ALL of our Board members asked this question. 4SW is a club of volunteers. We are a non- profit organization that has no paid staff. Our Directors and staff are always looking for enthusiastic partners to help out with our various activities. Simply let one of us know and we'll.
Four Seasons West Ski & Snowboard Club talk about what your interests are and how we can utilize the club's resources to make it happen. There's no special process and all offers of assistance are appreciated. The best start is through the Pacesetters. Our Directors and staff are very involved and attend most meetings. It is also a great way to team up with others that want to get more involved.
How old do I have to be to participate?
We've taken the term 'eight to eighty' as far as we can. The minimum age is generally 6 years of age. This depends on the activity. We have a very active Youth Group headed by Cliff Simms our Youth Director. We are proud of the fact that we have gotten thousands of young people in the community started in this sport hassle free and at a very reasonable price. Cliff has a young son of his own and is committed 100% to our youth and their development. We are always on the lookout for other young adults who like being active and having fun. As a reminder, our Conduct Policy applies to kids and adults of all ages.
If you have a young person that would like to participate or would like to help out, give Cliff a call at (949) 770-3409 and he can tell you more.
